Cookie Policy
Exactly which cookies GrammarWorksheet sets, who sets them, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how to refuse all of them without losing anything.

The short version
This site sets no cookies of its own. Two measurement tools do set cookies, both of them Google's or Microsoft's rather than ours: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Neither is used to identify you, sell anything to you or follow you around the web — they answer "which pages are worth improving" and "where does the printing flow break down".
An earlier version of this page said the site set no cookies at all. That was true then and it is not true now, which is why the date at the top has moved.
Everything on this site works with every cookie blocked. Nothing is gated, and there is no wall to click through.

Cookie counts and lifetimes are Google's and Microsoft's to change, not ours; the two links further down go to their own current documentation.
The theme preference is not a cookie, and the difference is real: a cookie
rides along on every request your browser makes to this site, so the server
sees it. localStorage is never sent anywhere. Nothing on our side can read
your theme choice, and the value is just the word light, dark or system.
If you never touch the theme switcher, nothing is written at all.
What is not stored
- No session or login cookie — there are no accounts and no sessions.
- No advertising or re-targeting cookie. Nothing here is currently sold to an advertiser, and no ad network is loaded.
- No cookie set by us. Every cookie above belongs to Google or Microsoft.
- No copy of your worksheet. The sheet is assembled in your browser from a question bank that ships with the page; the questions are never sent back. The analytics events do report the settings you chose — grade, skills, question count — which the privacy policy lists in full.
- Nothing that lets us put a name to a visitor.
Children
The worksheets are written for pupils in grades 1 to 8, so children may well end up on these pages. That is precisely why nothing here asks the visitor for anything: no sign-up, no form wanting a name or an age, and nothing that would let one visit be linked to another. Serving the page still leaves a request log on the server, as it does on every website — the privacy policy sets out what is in it and how long it lasts.
Analytics
Three measurement tools run on this site. Two of them set cookies.
Google Analytics (Google LLC) — sets the _ga cookies in the table above.
It reports which pages are visited, where visitors arrived from, roughly which
country they are in, and which device and browser they used. It also receives
three events about the worksheet builder itself; the
privacy policy lists exactly what those carry.

How Google uses data from sites that use its services
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) — sets the _clck and _clsk
cookies. Clarity records a playback of the session: where the pointer moved,
what was clicked, where the page was scrolled. That is the point of it — it
shows whether people can actually find the print button, which no page-view
count can tell you. Clarity masks text input by default, and this site has no
input to type into anyway.

Two other providers, Plausible and Umami, are supported by the code and are not switched on. If either is ever enabled this page changes first.
Advertising cookies
There are none right now — no ad script is loaded and no ad cookie is set.
This site is being prepared for Google AdSense, so here is what will be true once advertising is switched on, disclosed in advance rather than afterwards:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a
user's prior visits to this website or other websites. These cookies may be
associated with
doubleclick.netor with country-specific Google domains. - You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and out of a wider set of vendors at www.aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org. Opting out does not remove ads; it stops them being personalized to you.
- Any ad network other than Google that ends up serving here will be named on this page, with a link to its own policy, before it serves anything.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland a Google-certified consent management platform will be in place before any advertising cookie is set. Note that today there is no consent banner at all, and the two analytics cookies in the table above are set for every visitor — see the privacy policy for what that means and how to refuse them now.
The date at the top of this page changes on the day that stops being hypothetical. The privacy policy carries the same disclosure in more detail.
Blocking everything anyway
You do not have to take our word for any of this, and you do not have to ask us for permission.
Block cookies entirely, run any content blocker, or browse in a private window. The generator, the printing and the answer keys work identically — no cookie on this site is load-bearing. The only thing you lose is that the site stops remembering your theme, because that preference lives in the storage you just cleared.
You can also switch off the two tracked tools individually without blocking anything else:
- Google Analytics — install Google's own opt-out add-on, which turns it off on every site, not just this one.
- Microsoft Clarity — Clarity honours the browser's Global Privacy Control signal, which most privacy-focused browsers and extensions can send for you.
To remove what is already there: clear site data for this domain in your browser's settings.

If what this page describes ever stops being true, this page changes first and the date at the top changes with it.
